DESCRIPTION

DOWSIL 90-006 aerospace sealant is a high quality silicone rubber material specifically designed for the aerospace and aircraft industries. This sealant withstands continuous operating
temperatures ranging from -70 to 400 F (-57 to 204 C) and temperatures as high as 6000 F (3316 C) for several minutes.

DOWSIL 90-006 aerospace sealant is supplied as a two-part package consisting of a silicone rubber base and a catalyst. When catalyzed it cures at room temperature to form a silicone rubber that features:

Low thermal conductivity
Flexibility at temperature extremes
Resistance to weathering, moisture, and ozone
Good ablative characteristics

DOWSIL 90-006 aerospace sealant is a nonflowing material that may be applied and tooled to any desired configuration or build-up.

USES

DOWSIL 90-006 aerospace sealant is primarily used as a high temperature pressurization sealant, insulative coating and ablative thermal barrier.
